SSG (20 mins)

Set up:

20x40 area (adjust based on numbers) with 2 small nets placed at one end and a large net at other as shown. 4v4 + GK. Half way line marked.

Organisation: 2v1 in zone 1 and 2v2 in zone 2. Play starts with the goalkeeper playing out to one of the two CBs. Reds then aim to score in one of the two small nets. If the white win the ball, they try to score on the large net.

To start, only one white player can press, if they win the ball, the others can join. If red get into the next zone, one of the players can join to make it a 3v2.

Coaching Points:

Dispersal - CBs split, CMs create depth.

Mobility - Timing of movement from midfield. Who shows when? Strong vs weak side
