Organisation
- Red team to play out of the back and build towards one of the five gates to score their relevant points
- Blue team to press and win the ball back to then score a goal, try and score within 10 seconds due to the underload
Coaching Points
1. Drop to press, invite the opposition to play to one of the CB's or FB's.
2. Starting position: CF sit in front of their pivot, CAM to tuck in with CM to balance (3v2 in the middle), WM to tuck in centrally to then pull out wide when the ball goes
3. Trigger to press: slow/bouncing/poor pass, showing their back to play, pressing target
4. CF - curved aggresive press to create a strong side, press the opposition CB to the side to steal the ball
5. CAM - mark the pivot on the strong side waiting to intercept/place pressure
6. CM - man mark goal side against their box to box CM, 1v1 defending
7. WM - Tuck into mark space not to allow pass through the midfield (relative in 11v11 scenario), trigger to press when it goes to FB 1v1 defending, opposing WM to tuck in and balance to mark space
What If Scenarios
1. CB is able to switch the ball and break the press
2. CM's twist and turn to then get away from the press
3. FB beats winger
