Screen 2 (5 mins)

11 V 11

Yellow team 4-1-1-3-1

Blue team 4-4-2

Information given to BLUE team:

Must play high line.

All players must be in attacking half to score.

Limited passes.

Ball alive we coach, What we see, step in to coach When necassary and Why we should defend in this way (outcome).

Coaching points:

Yellow 3 movement Triggers back 4 and Central 2 movement (Light Blue arrows).

Yellow 3 Presses the ball When right back put his head down to pass.

Yellow 3 runs at pace to get there quick prefrebly before his touch, if so CAN WE win the ball?

If we dont get there before his touch Yellow 3 must focus on:

Blue Facing his own goal/back to goal.

Press/Get tight.

Body angle/Showing him outside/touchline/cut out pass into central areas.

Slow down play, we can get organised.

Be aggressive.

Timing of tackle.

STOP cross.

Communication.

Goal keeper always feeding information into back 4. Nice and loud.

Left/right shoulder.

Get tight.

Squeeze up and so on.

Yellow team win ball counter/score within limited passes.

Screen 4 (5 mins)

8 Yellow dictates defending set-up.

NO PRESSURE on the balll as 8 is slow to react to central pass.

Communication with 4 central partner to hold, drop with run of blue central player with ball.

8 Press ball showing out wide.

Angle of run/body angle inportant.

STOP pass into front 2.

BACK 4 drop as there is no pressure on the ball. Communication with front screen important NO big gaps so blue can create scoring opportunitites.

Defend balls over the top/pass down the sides.

Yellow 6 mark outside shoulder to stop pass spliting 6 & 3.

Yellow 5 inside shoulder to stop pass splitting 5 & 6.

Yellow 2 narrow up to help 5 and force the long pass to blue left midfielder.

Yellow 3 taken up good position helps 6 and defend in to out.

Goal keeper always feeding information into back 4. Nice and loud.

Left/right shoulder.

Get tight.

Squeeze up and so on.
