Scenario 1

Scenario Build up under High Press (Green line indicates engagment from opposotion):

Key Points:

- Most Players have two movements. This is to show that you are not robots and you focus on relationships with one another

- Speed of play is key. Breaking pressure early, switching the point of attack quickly

- If we recycle the ball the next action must be forward

- We would look to break pressure first and that can also mean by going direct BUT IT MUST HAVE A REASON

Roles and Responbilites:

- #1 Plays quickly, Tries to break pressure with passes. If using CBs its knowing he may get ball back. Stays high in the build up so it doesn't have to travel far when coming back to him

- #4 #5 Break pressure early with pass, Vital they also look across their body to the #6. If ball is played back the other player is now playing forward in his side. Movements are simply opening up and supoorting the other CB

- #2 #3 First get high and wide to create space. If we recycle the ball come in create second #6. If you see the #4 or #5 progressing with ball into your space. Choose to go higher but still keeping a passing lane or go inside creating a new passing option

-#6 In this scenario stays higher than Cbs and slightly at the angle allowing the cb to play to them. His job is to look forward and play forward qucikly. Technical actions are important open body shape, First time passes

- #8 #10 First DO NOT come to ball in this scenario. Your breaking pressure and we want that ball played into you (Shaded area highlights this). You work with the full back. If you see them come in you will look to get out wide slighty higher. If the #7 and #11 take the wide space you look to rotate into their position

- #9 This situation under a high press the #9 is looking to spin past the CB;s getting the ball into space. It allows us to go longer and beat a high press if necessary. This movement opens up space for #8 and #10 to recieve feet and drive forward

- #7 and #11 Set up high and wide pinning oppsoition full backs. Focus is more about when we get the ball into middle third however there are momments that we need to engage in the build up. If your corresponding #8 or #10 is too far central to get wide when the full back goes in its your job to drop. Next movement when #9 makes their run in behind the area he leaves you look to exploit by making a diagonal run towards the goal. Gives us option to play you run from the #4 #5 #6
