Two Gates/ Warm up (10 mins)
Organization
- Set up two cone gates 10 yards apart on one of the lines
- Do the same at the opposite end of the field
- At one end of the field have number 1's between the cones
- At the other end have number 2's between the cones
Activity
- #1 starts the session by stepping out off the line, this is the #2 trigger to step out to defend
- The #1 attempts to run through the either of the #2 gates
- If the #1 is successful they get the point, if the #2 is able to tag the attacker before they get through they get the point
Progression
- If the #2 is able to tag the attacker, they then become the attacker straight away and attempt to attack the gates at the opposite end of the field.
- player #1 now must quickly transition to defend
- If the player #2 is successful the session starts again with the next #1 starting off the session,
-however if the #2 is tagged the number #1 continues the session by attacking the opposite end with the #2 getting back to defend.
