Possession to warm up 6v2

I want two 6v2's and a group playing in the center circle

Are they looking to play quick and split the defenders when it is on?

lots of players are we splitting them/keeping the ball

success criteria:

players open body to field

players move off the ball

players make crisp passes on the ground with different parts of the foot

4 player passing/3v1 possession

Put one guy on each cone. Put a pinnie on 1 of the guys.

Tell the guys to pop OFF the cone and play OUTSIDE the cones. pass to the left. when the guy to your right takes his first touch POP off the cone.

Ball is moving left? play his left foot.

Ball moving right? play right foot.

add in tough right pass left and touch left pass right.

those are 4 cycles.

when I say "GO!" they will start to pass.

when I say "PLAY!" they will jump into the grid and play 3v1 for 30 seconds.

rotate the guy with the pinnie.

Success Criteria:

Players in possession play to correct foot.

players play accurate passes on the ground.

players in possession play in middle of segments, NOT in the corners.

In a 24x18

Place 3 blues (center back center mid center forward)

then place 4 greens (left and right mids, left and right backs)

then place 4 oranges (Ignacio left back/ Guest Right Back/ Aaron Left Mid/Gabe right mid)

Remind the blues to stay in middle/at ends of field to spread game out.

show the greens that they way they have started is the way they need to spread out when they GET the ball.

show the greens that when they give the ball away they ALL work to get it back RIGHT AWAY.
