Organization:
- Same grid as prior activity, can be adjusted as needed.
- Goalkeeper and defender in box (in progressions).
- Teams of 4 players.
Instructions:
- Play starts from the top of the grid. One of the players from opposite side checks in, receives and passes to the player making the run to the flank (3rd man run). Upon receiving, player on the ball decides to shoot or cross.
Coaching Points/Questions:
- Can we start the run in the previous play?
- When is the pass to space and when is it to feet?
- When is it safe to shoot or pass?
- Players committing the run into the box, how can we spread out?
Regressions/Progressions:
- Add a defender in the box (or more).

Organization:
- 4v4 + Goalkeeper, 1 team attacks goal, other team attacks mini goals at halfway line (adjust accroding to size).
Instructions:
- Who: 1, 2, 4, 3, 6 vs. 7, 11, 9, 10
- Defending team goes to mini goals, attacking team to goal.
Coaching Points/Questions:
- If we run into pressure can we recycle possession?
- Defending team: can we move forward into space right away?

Scrimmage

Introduction (15 mins)
Organization:
- 25x18 yards grid or adjust as needed.
- Players set up at each corner of the grid.
Instructions:
- Ball starts at bottom of grid. Player with ball passes to player directly in front, who check in towards the center. Player then passes to player checking in from opposite side who then checks in to player on opposite side.
Coaching Points/Questions:
- Can we start checking in one pass before we receive the ball?
- Control the ball: what is better one time or control and then dribble?
Regressions/Progressions:
- Add a ball and have teams going multiple times at once.
- Take away the third pass.
