Setup:
15x15x15 triangle
Activity:
1) Working on checking away and then back to ball.
2) Checking towards ball to receive away.
Coaching Points:
~ "If I move away first, I want the ball to my feet"
~ Timing of losing marker, especially 2nd running who must factor in 2-touch from passer
~ "If I check to the ball first, I want it ahead in space."

Intervals:
2 min work + 1 min rest x 6 reps = 18 min
Setup:
30x15 split in half
2 teams of 4
4v2 in one grid
Activity:
Attacking team is possessing to penetrate to other half of grid. Offside line applies.
If defending team wins ball, they play to two other players joining play in other grid --> trans ition.
Coaching Points:
~ Up-back-through (3rd man run) - weakside player makes run into space as ball is laid off
~ Give and go - Play ball high and get into forward space
~ Spin off - Highest player spins off and runs into forward space; "Slingshot" (must pull back to create momentum to go forward)
See the guidance at the top of this page to understand why you are not seeing interactive Football/Soccer images.
Intervals:
2 min game + 1 min rest x 6 games = 18 min
Setup:
50x30 grid on top of 18 yard box
3 teams of 5
5v5 in the middle of grid with extra players on outside ("in window") between two cones
Activity:
Team in possession must connect both wide players before going to goal.
Top of the 18 acts as offside line (defenders can't drop until ball has passed)
Coaching Points:
~ When to possess vs. when to penetrate and how that affects movement off ball
~ Forward runs when player on ball has time and space (supporting runs when they don't)
~ Once attacking, look for overloads (usually out wide)
~ Once in box either drive towards goal or (more likely) drive to endline and near post for cutback cross

Play and use concepts from earlier in practice to penetrate and score.
