Organization:
30x20 Area set up as shown
30x10 central zone marked out with cones
10 players (5 attackers & 5 defenders)
Balls with coach who acts as server
Instructions:
- Players are seperated into two teams & then number themselves 1 to 5
- Teams assemble at either end line with coach on the sideline with all soccer balls
- Coach calls out number 1 to 5 & passes ball into middle zone. Those numbers run out & battle to win ball
- Player who wins ball becomes attacker. They aim to dribble past defender & out of middle zone to score
- Player without ball becomes defender & aims to win possession back to attack
- Play until goal is scored or ball leaves playing area. Player return back to positions & activity resets

Progressions:
1. Play for points. Teams get 1 point if attacker successfully dribbles out of middle zone
2. Attackers now aim to dribble out of middle zone & through one of the gates (tall cones) in corner (3points)

Organization:
4x4 yd box for receiving player on each endline
groups of 4 set up as shown, 1 ball per group, extra balls nearby
Instructions:
- player with the ball plays lofted pass accross area to player on opposite side of the grid
- after playing lofted pass, player follows pass to support the ball and exchange double pass with recieving player
- player on opposite side exchanges double pass with checking player then plays lofted pass in the opposite direction
- rotation is continuous
- each succesful lofted pass gets 1pt for the group
Coaching Points:
- first touch at an angle out of feet (2 o'clock/ 10 o'clock), head up to observe target
- position of standing foot
- angle locked, toe pointed down and away
- make contact with second knuckle of big toe at bottom half of the ball to create loft
- follow through toward target
- get in line with the ball to receive
- choose appropriate surface to receive with
- cushion touch to maintain possession inside the receiving area

Organization:
1. 20x20 grid
2. Multiple balls
3. Four pug goals
4. Separate team into four groups
Instructions:
1. Coach will number the players of each team 1-3
2. Coach will play a ball into center of field and call a number.
3. The numbered player called from each team will attempt to score a goal.
4. Each group will start with 3 lives, each time a goal is scored on their goal a life is lost. Once all lives are lost the game is over. Each time a goal is scored by the group a life is added to total.
Coaching Points:
1. Head up
2. Receive ball and turn towards open goal
3. Look for open space
Progressions:
1. Call multiple numbers at once
2. Play in more than one ball at a time.

Instructions:
- Teams play standard 5v5 small sided game. Play restarts with kick ins. No offsides.
- Team in possession only only get out of of defensive half by dribbling ball over half way line
- Teams aim to score either by shooting into mini goals or by dribbling between center gate (tall cones)

- Controlled approach
- Body shape - low centre of gravity
- Awareness of space, surroundings & approaching players position

Organization:
1. 20 x 20 yard area set up as shown
2. 12 players set up as shown
3. 1 ball per player
Instructions:
1. All players dribble around the area
2. On coach’s call “switch”, players stop their ball from moving, and start dribbling with a new ball (see A )
3. One ball is removed every 30 seconds, leaving one more player without a ball each time
4. Players without a ball must try to steal one from another player
5. If a ball is stolen, that player must steal one from a different person
6. Play for set time period
Coaching Points:
1. Change of speed and direction

Progressions:
1. P – Coach can restrict the surfaces players may use to control the ball, e.g. inside only, outside only, soles only
