Session Organization: Cones, balls set up as shown. Adjust size to suit age of players.
Explanation:
Play starts with a player on each cone, 2 players at D and spare players at A.
Passing sequence as follows,
A - B, B - C, C - D
D - E, E - F, F - A.
Repeat for a determined number of cycles (3 - 5) and then reverse direction.
Progression:
All players are to follow their pass.
Add a second ball starting at D.
Evaluation:
Communication is essential.

Can we pass to correct foot, which is the correct foot?
Is my 1st touch in the direction of my next action?

Session Organization: Poles, cones and balls. Setup as shown. Spare players at A. Use 2 grids if required. Adjust size to suit age of players
Explanation:
Play starts at A with a pass to B,
Player at B takes their 1st touch between the pole and the cone and plays a pass to Player at C and the play continues around the diamond.
Repeat for a determined amount or rotations. Change direction (move cones to other side of pole) and repeat.
Progression:
Add Player at E.
Passing sequence then goes through the middle as shown in Red. A - B - C - E - A - D
Player A switches the direction of the pass each sequence.
Evaluation:
Body shape open to receive and take 1st touch in direction of my next action.

Session Organization:
Cones, poles and balls. 2 Small goals or 1 Large goal (GK if available)
Explanation:
A Player on cones as shown Players A, B & C with a ball, spare players at positions A, B & C.
Start with Player at A, who plays a pass to Player D.
Player D receives pass and plays a return square pass goal side of pole (defender) for Player A.
Player A takes 1 touch and shoots at goal. Player at D retrieves ball and returns to back of line at A.
Player A returns to Position D and receives a pass from Player B, Player B to indicate Left or Right for return pass.
Player B receives return pass takes a touch and shoots. Player at D retrieves ball and returns to back of line at B.
Player B returns to Position D ready to receive a pass from Player C and so on.
Continue until all players have rotated through the 3 positions A, B & C.
Progression:
Start at Player C and repeat the above in reverse.
Change passing patterns i.e. A to D, D to B and B plays through ball for A/C. (Killer Pass)
Evaluation:
Is my body position correct when striking the ball?
Can I pass to the furthest foot of my team mate?
Have I made positive communication with my team mate/s?
Does my pass have the correct weight?
Can I spot my target before passing?
Can I hit my target?
Am I moving to receive the pass?
Is my head/knee over the ball when striking towards goal?

Session Organization:
SSG field with goals. Split into 3 teams. Use players from team not in game to GK.
Explanation:
Normal directional game.
Winning team stays on the pitch, losing team swaps with team waiting (supplies GK's).
Encourage quick change over of teams.
Progression:
If winning team remains unbeaten add players to opposing team. (overload)

1v1/RWB - continuous (15 mins)
Session Organization: Players split into 2 teams, 2 starting grids at each end and 2 scoring gates set up as shown.
Explanation:
Play starts with the Team A, the player attempts to RWB through either gate o score a point. Team B player tries to stop the player from RWB through the gate.
If successful, player A immediately plays the pass to next player from Team B and becomes the defender, and continue until all players have had a turn.
The losing defender drops out quickly and returns to starting grid.
Attacker: Can we Dribble the ball at pace through either gate and pass to player in grid at other end?
Defender: Can we close the distance to the attacker quickly and try to take him to one side and get him onto his non-preferred foot?
Progression:
Attacker: 1 v 2, add an extra defender.
Defender: 2 v 2, add extra players from both teams
Evaluation:
Attacker:
Commit the defender
Take advantage of the defenders recovery to attack opposite gates
Dribbling/RWB close control or attack the space with larger touches?
Defender:
Close distance to attacker as quickly as possible
Can we use body position to take him away from gate?
Quick recovery to reduce the attackers time & space
Correct body shape when defending, knees slightly bent, side on to player
