Handling- straight shots
Split GKs into pairs
Station 1: Yellow feeds ball at chest height to Pink Team opposite.
Coaching Point: Correct stance (Feet just more than shoulder width apart, weight forward, hands ready in W shape)
Station 2: Yellow feeds ball to Pink GK opposite, this time above head height.
Coaching Point: Start with correct stance as above, this time make sure Gks use good footwork to shuffle backwards so ball is always in front of their eyeline never directly above.
Station 3: Yellow feeds ball to Pink GK along the floor.
Coaching Point: Again start with correct stance. This time make sure all players use their leg to form a barrier by twisting at hip and dropping knee to floor. Two hands face palm forward ready to funnel ball.
Repeat 5 times then switch. Once both players have had x5 repitions Yellow team move clockwise and Pink anticlockwise so they work with different person on a new drill.
