Opposition CDM once half turn from ball master coach (allow rest between each rep)
Ballmaster is the re-set point if goal or success (playing into target cones) - play-on from throws.
CDM into GK, play.
Focus team build up to break through end cones or to defend against negative transition.
Non-focus team, no tackling but full interceptions - build and score in positive transition.
Definitions:
Trigger - a specific movement or event that forces a specific reaction (player to player, unit to unit)
Positive transition - winning the ball back from opposition (now in possession)
Negative transition - losing the ball to the opposition (now out of possession)
See the guidance at the top of this page to understand why you are not seeing interactive Football/Soccer images.
Once GK in possession:
Trigger 1 - CB split wide and deep (available to receive, pull opposition and create space for CM)
Once CB are in a good set position, CM similar line (5-10 yards higher max), never receive straight (bend run to receive a certain side, to then play on half turn or bounce - pre-meditated turn).
Trigger 2 - Once CM set position and able to offer a platform to both playmake but also set for a negative transition, this allows FBs (right and left) to start to play high. Important that they take up a deeper position first (draw in opposition) and then to time their movement. Ideally CM can release FB or even GK to clip into them.
Once the football is out of defensive third, CBs and CM to push on but still allowing 10-15 yard depth to play (in case of reset).
Important that FBs are not caught too high too early in case of negative transition meaning vulnerable to counter attack.
Key Points
- Recognition of each trigger
- Timing of triggers
- CM splitting must have plan when receiving (set to GK, set to CB, round corner to FB, half turn).

GK to CM (deep and has split CBs) to nearest CM (set pass) - nearest FB show feet and receive half turn from CB - PLAY
See the guidance at the top of this page to understand why you are not seeing interactive Football/Soccer images.
GK to CM (deep and has split CBs) to nearest CB (set pass) and move to new angle (likely deeper) to receive from CB - half turn and switch to opposite CB or even opposite FB.
