Exercise Description:
GK learning to get set with feet no wider than shoulder width apart
Introduction to catching technique
Partner striking the ball from the ground at different heights ground, midsection, chest.
Change roles after 4 balls.
Coaching Points:
-Have you feet still at the moment of the shot.
-feet shoulder width apart, toes pointing towards shooter, knees bent.
-hands in front of you, off of your body. Palm of your gloves open to the ball.
-Weight on your toes. "Nose over your toes"
- step forward into the path of the shot, never backward toward your goal.
Equipment:
2 rings per partner, 3 balls per group.

Shots from different angles with distribution
Coaching Points:
stay on your feet as often as possible
Technical Objectives:
-set your feet
-step forward into the path of the ball
-take hands directly to the ball, eliminate extra movements.
-body behind the ball at all times
Organization:
2 big goals, 2 puggs, 10 balls.
Progression:
-add a player to follow up on any shots
-shoot from 3 different angles at random to force GK to adjust position quickly
-Distribute after each shot to the logical location based upon where players are blocking

Exercise Description:
2 vs. 2 Match
90-120 second games
Coaching Points:
Get set at moment of the shot
hand in front of you
nose over your toes
be aware of your positioning in relation to the ball and the goa
Organization:
3 zones. 24 long by 12 wide.
Rules:
No more than 1 GK in each zone defensively
GK's become field players as soon as they win the ball with their hands. Rebounds are live until defending team gains possession through their hands or by connecting a pass.
Distribution introduction (10 mins)
Exercise Description:
Distribution technique. Bowling, throwing, kicking from the ground/ sidewinder.
Coaching Points:
-play every ball as you would want your teammate to receive it.
-Body starting and ending at target.
