Instructions:
•Blues to set up in a 4-4-2 shape (no GK) / Reds to set-up in a 1-4-3-2 shape (10v9 outfield players)
•Ball to start from the target and be played into Blues to begin the game
•Blues to attack the 11v11 goal, while reds look to score by passing to the target (on the ground) and receiving a return pass successfully inside the yellow channel
•Various restarts from various areas on the pitch in wide / central areas, as well as transition moments
•Coach the Blues / Manage the Reds (Assistant Coach to Coach opposition)
•Normal FIFA Rules apply
*Focus is for Blue players starting game against Surrey United to improve understanding of Attacking in Wide Areas and why we plan to try and play through these areas of the pitch
Coaching Points:
•Starting shape of Blues in Possession (CB's Split, FB's high and Wide, Wingers wide and stretching opposition)
•Encourage Blues to get the ball wide as quickly as possible and for Full-backs to recognize cues and to join the attack as quickly as possible. Look to create overloads in wide channels and expose opposition in wide areas
•Intelligent movement from Fullback to unbalance opposition (overlapping runs, underlapping runs & various combination play)
Progression:
•Begin to focus on final acts & quality of delivery from wide channels, as well as movement of Strikers, weak side Winger and attacking Midfielders into the box

*Focus is for Blue players starting game against Surrey United to improve understanding of Attacking in Wide Areas and why we plan to try and play through these areas of the pitch
Coaching Points:
•Reiterate shape and dispersal on full pitch. Really emphasize the importance of Wingers and Fullback starting points when in possession
•Begin to coach various combination play in Wide areas. Look for moments to coach FB's and Wingers to combine with eachother and Striker, including 3rd man movements
•Ensure players are not predictable, look to quickly switch the point of attack and find opposite Winger / Fullbacks with quality delivery
•Coach Wingers to get creative with their movement and become unpredictable. At times, look to make runs inside to drag out opposition Full-back and create space for Full-backs to get forward and receive penetrating passes
Progression:
•Consider various tactical changes as the game goes on, depending on the score in the match. Potentially change Red formation to a 4-4-2 to match up and create scenarios for the players to solve through Guided Discovery and Q / A
