Organization:
- Players in pairs.
- One pair per side of the area.
- Soccer balls divided between each group.
Instructions:
- Play starts with attacking team A, who pass ball to initiate play. Pairing attack together and look to score by dribbling the ball over sideline B.
- One player from team B enters the field as sole defender. Look to prevent team A from scoring, and try to steal ball. If successful, dribble over end line A.
- 1 point awarded to attacking team for successful dribble.
- 1 point awarded to defending team for denying opposition team and knocking ball out of play. 3 points awarded if they can disposses opponents and dribble across end line.
Coaching Points/Questions:
- Curve your run to cut off passing option.
- Side on body position, try to force attacker away from end line. Use sideline as extra defender.
- Try to force mistakes - weak foot, heavy touch.

Progressions:
- Both A vs B and C vs D play at the same time.
- Score in mini goals/gates.

- Once defender steals ball from attacker, they can play ball back to team mate to create 2v2.

Organization:
- Players split into two teams.
- 2v2 on the field, with remaining players positioned behind their respective goals.
- Soccer balls evenly split between two teams and positioned at respective goals
Instructions:
- Game begins 2v2 on the field, with ball played in by coach. Once attacking team has a shot on goal (irrespective of scoring), the player that took the shot must run and give the coach a "high 5". Their team mate remains on the field and becomes the new defender.
- As this is happening the, the current defending team leaves the field from the nearest side and two new players from that team dribble a new ball into the field. At this stage they look to score 2v1. Once original attacker has given coach a "high 5" they return to help their team mate on defense.
- If attacking team score they are awarded 1 point.
- If sole defender steals the ball before scoring they are awarded 3 points.
- If ball goes out of play without a shot on goal, new ball played in by coach.
Coaching Points/Questions:
- Awareness of transition moment - where is the ball coming from and where is supporting player?
- If you can't steal the ball try to delay attacker until support comes from your team mate.

Regressions/Progressions:
R - Attackers can only score from own half.
P - Introduce offside rule.

Organization:
- 3v3 scrimmage
- Second field set up depending on numbers available.
- Mini goals.
Instructions:
- Each player paired with a direct opponent. These players can only steal the ball from each other.
- Rotate teams after 5 mins if operating with multiple fields.
- Pass in on restarts.
Coaching Points/Questions:
- Communication to team mates to tell them it's your player.
- "Once you've won the ball, what's your next move?" Awareness of surroundings.

Introduction (10 mins)
Organization:
- Players in groups of three.
- Each player given a number - 1, 2 or 3.
- One ball per group.
Instructions:
- Players pass and move around area. On coaches call of a number, that number becomes the active defender. Defender now attempts to steal ball from their team mates, who continue to dribble/pass around area. If defender steals ball, they look to dribble and touch the ball against one of the outside cones. 3 points awarded to defender if they succeed. 1 point each for attackers if they manage to retain possession.
- Continue until defender steals ball, or coach calls "freeze".
Coaching Points/Questions:
- Close down the attackers space as quickly as possible, slowing down on approach.
- Bend knees slightly, stayling low to adjust to attackers movement.
- Be patient and wait for opportunities to steal ball.
Regressions/Progressions:
R - One attacker keeps possession, while the other rests.
