Monster Trucks (5-10min):
+ Each player with a ball - pretend ball is monster truck
+ To start engine, roll ball back & forth with sole of foot (make revving sounds)
+ On coaches command, drive monster truck (avoid collisions)
+ Slow, fast, reverse, stop, turn
Hungry Hippos (5-10min):
+ Place all balls in middle of field
+ Split into 2 teams, each pug net is their teams hippo
+ Players look to collect balls, dribble & shoot them into their hippo
+ Only dribble 1 ball at a time
+ Once all balls are gone, count how many each team has in their net

Organization:
+ 2 teams within a 15W x 25L field (create multiple fields if needed based on player #'s)
+ Pug goals to score on
Instructions:
+ Start with a single ball within a 3v3 format (7min) - once your team scores you must retreat and touch your net
+ Progress to a multi-ball game (7min): use 2-3 balls within the field of play to encourage more actions on the ball (individual players must run and touch their net after they score)
+ Progress to every player with ball (7min) - gives every player a chance to score! (must dribble your ball around YOUR net after scoring)

Warm Up: (20 mins)
Organization:
+ 15x20 area marked out with cones
Freeze Tag:
+ 1 or 2 players designated as it who try to tag others
+ if a player is tagged, they must stand with their arms out and legs wide (remain frozen)
+ players will look to save their frozen teammates by running under their arms - now their teammate is free to save a new player (progress to crawl under legs)
+ change the player(s) that are it every round and play each round for 2-3minutes
General Movement:
Players participate in various movements to encourage physical literacy:
1) Crawl like a bear
2) Crawl like a crab
3) Slither like a snake
4) Tall like a giraffe
5) Hop like a bunny
6) Hop on one foot
7) Walk/run backwards
8) Fast like a cheetah
9) Balance like an airplane
10) Throw & catch (miniball)
11) Bounce & catch (miniball)
Freeze Tag (with ball):
+ Players play the above tag game & add a ball for each player
+ Players that are it must keep a ball at their feet - can only tag someone with their ball at their feet
+ to save their teammates players must now dribble their ball through their teammates legs
+ if their ball leaves the designated area - they must bring their ball back but are now frozen!
Coaching points:
+ Encourage players to keep their ball close (smaller touches on the ball)
+ Surface area dribbling (inside, outside, sole, laces)
+ Inside of foot = contact with big toe
+ outside of foot = contact with pinky toe
