Session Objective DYNAMIC WARM UP TO PREPARE PLAYERS FOR SESSION.

Organisation: 16 PLAYERS / 5 X 2 MINS.

(S) SERVERS (1) FAST FEET AND PASS/VOLLEY/THIGH VOLLEY/ CHEST VOLLEY.

(2) 4-5 TOUCHES ON BALL/TOE TAPS/SOLE TAPS.

(3) RUN WITH BALL AT SPEED/TURNS (5-10 YARDS).

(4) HURDLE JUMPS AND 5 YARD SPRINT.

Possession :box (30 mins)

Session Objective: To improve possession through movement before and after receiving ball.

Organisation:

Overload red team with two players unopposed in box in centre of pitch.Reds keep possession and can also play ball to players inside box.They have one touch each and ball is returned to outside.Can develop by player who plays ball into box takes place of player who plays ball out of box.

Key Factors:

Know where space is to take ball.

Create space to receive(movement before).

Angle/body shape to receive/touch (movement with)

Quality of pass (and movement after).

Cone game (30 mins)

Session Objective:: To improve possession and quick reaction on transition

Organisation:Simple game:Three teams.Two on,one off.Teams keep possession and try to knock cone down at opposite end of pitch.First to knock 2 down stays on.

Key Factors:

Spread out in possession.

Look to switch play if blocked off.

Angles to receive and switch.

Movement in advance and after playing ball.

Positive attitude to attack cone quickly if gaining possession.
