Session Objective: To develop fundamentals of (a)width when playing out,(b)switching play and (c)pressing
Organisation:
4v4 with younger players plus GK.
Initial start from goalkeeper to feed wide red player right side.Players try to run or pass ball through gate C or retain and switch to go through gate D.Point achieved if ball is then run through pole gates A or B.
When ball played to reds, whites press and try to win back.Then attack goal.
If Reds gain entry to white half and lose ball,they press white to win ball back.White in turn must play through gates to progrss and attack goal.Game then goes from end to end.
An opportunity to introduce three concepts;spreading out to play forward,switching play/recycling ball if blocked and developing a positive attitude to press if possession lost.

Use body/turns to chnge direction
Quality of pass
Awareness of where space is to move forward with ball
Positive attitude to press and win ball back

Session Objective: To improve combination work and shooting
Organisation:
Three lines of players as shown.
Player 1 starts and moves ball out of feet and shoots.
2 then plays 1 2 with 1 and receives ball back to shoot.
3 then runs ball down outside of cone line and crosses for 1 and 2 who have made run into box.
All players return to their respective lines.
Rotate players lines and then chnge line 3 to go down right hand side to cross.

Passing combinations (25 mins)
Session Objective: Circle Passing - Ideal as part of warm up.To improve passing and receiving.
Organisation: 12 v 3 (vary numbers according to number of players but 4:1ratio in favour of outside players).
Extensions: development into multiple passing routines.Examples shown but list is endless and allows coach to create.
Example 1).A passes to 1 who feeds 2 who sets 3 who brings ball out.A joins edge of circle.Can vary with pass from 1 to 2 or to 4 and then set back to 3.
Example 2).B passes to 5 who feeds 6 and then drops back two yards.6 feeds 7who passes to B who sets to 5 to bring ball back into circle.
Variations and combinations endless.
Can involve movement around players.Example 3).C plays ball to 8,and runs around 8 and 9.* plays ball to 9m and C collects to bring back into circle.
