Animation 1
SETUP:Pitch area split into 3 areas, 2 goals at each end. 20yards, 12 yards, 20 by 30 yards wide.2 even teams with 3 supporting players.
The support player at each end can only support the defending team, the middle supporting player is always in play with the attaching team.
The game starts with one end players starting with the ball.
At this point you would want the attaching team "RED" to make the pitch as big as possible. The should also leave 2 attacking players in the middle zone.
The Defending Team "BLUE" should look to press the ball and win it back as high up the park as possible. They should push 5 players into there attaching third and keep 2 defending players in the middle zone.
This should create an overload in the first third and middle third of the park for the attacking team.
The attacking team is looking to play through the zones and create a chance to score into one of the goals.
Goals can only be scored in the attacking third of the pitch, with at least 1 pass being completed in that area first.
2 defenders and 2 attacking players should always be in the middle third.
This offers both cover for the attacking team and an out ball for the defending team.
The natural player in the middle cant leave that are.
Offside is in play in this drill.
