Progression
Instead of playing directly to C - 2nd midfield pass is on to the run of A.
A begins play (1) by playing to midfield player (SCOT). A runs forward to receive pass 4 - timing of this run is important. Ball is then played out to B (2) who then plays in second midfield player (3). This player opens and plays pass to the path of A (4) who then plays a driven ball to D. Repeat in the other direction.
Progression - Midfield players combine or play 1-2 between passes 3 and 4.
