Football/Soccer Session (Academy Sessions): Defensive principles while pressing 09 and U17 - 1/15 Monday

Pressing and chasing attitude (20 mins)

Organization

2 Teams of X numbers in box to box zone 7 v 7. 

4 mini nets.

3 x 6 minutes. 

Objective

Main objective: Pressing and defending forwards. 

Secondary objective: Reaction to get it back. Transitional decision making going forwards or security pass. 

Description

Each team will have its space and will try to keep the possession with the purpose of going forwards. 

If the team scores, next ball will be played by them. 

The team who is defending will send players to the opposite half with the objective of getting the ball and make a decision on the transitional moment. 

Rounds: 

1-The team in possession will have to make 7 passes to progress and try to score in opposite half - Real

The team who is defending will have 2 options when they get the ball

Score 2 points

Security pass 1 points

2-If the team gets the ball in less than 5 seconds (first pressing situation) 1 extra point (GKs counting)

3-1 player will stand on the opposite half, if the team in possession makes 4 passes, they could progress. 

One rule Competitive Game (20 mins)

Objective

Main objective: Pressing, zonal marking, organisation before pressing (compactness)

Secondary objective: Reaction to get it back. Transitional decision -first pass forwards! or security pass.

Undirect objective: playing thru the middle. 

Description

Game 7 v 7 or 8 v 8 in the full space 7 v 7. Real game. 

Rounds: 

1-The team in possession will have to go thru the shaded area in order to score. Only way of avoiding that is coming from a throw in situation. 

2-If the team scores in a C.A before making 3 passes - double goal.
