Key Factors: passing to create scoring opportunity in an opposed environment and with players able to be more creative and exercise more decision making when under pressure.
Organisation: players continue with passing drill but with two defenders available to chase pass to create pressure and to challenge goal scorer. When under pressure attackers are able to make alternative pass to another available player to help simulate realism and encourage decision making. Encourage verbal and non-verbal communication, including where receiving player wants to receive the ball and passing player indicating who they will make alternative pass to.
Continue to layer mechanics during session.
Add regression by removing a defender. Add challenge through use of non-striking foot.

Key Factors: small sided game using an attacker v defender scenario to create scoring opportunities. Encourage use of passing to open up space
Organisation: 5v5 game with two additional bibbed neutral players (indicated in black strips) that will play for attacking teams to help create opportunities for overloads. No conditions at start of the game. Attackers score point for each goal scored and defending teams scores by winning ball back and making three consecutive passes, one of which must be to one of the neutral player.
Introduce condition that neutral players can only play in the middle third of the pitch to encourage attaking players to think about other positions they can take up to receive the ball. Finish drill by removing middle third condition on neutral players to test learning.
Challenge individuals to use weaker foot to pass, to be creative about their passes, and to consider body shape when receiving the ball in order to be in the best position to either shoot or pass.

Key Factors: session focus is passing. Realism and enjoyment for players to come from the chance to create scoring opportunities. Challenge to not only pass the ball accurately and with the correct weight, but also to encourage the receiving player to make initial movment to create space for themselces away from the cone.
Organisation: player behind touchline plays first pass into active player and follows his pass. Players continue to pass along the line (and follow their pass to the next mannequin / cone) until the final player performs performs a trick to beat the final man before dribbling into the area and shooting. Shooting player then joins line of players on touch line.
Start to progressively introduce the mechanics of short passing, as well as encouraging the receiving player to make movement away from cone to create space to receive the ball,
Once drill established and players settled in challege the players by feeding in the next ball more quickly, challenge individuals to use weaker foot to make pass or to be creative in their pass (for example using different surface of foot). Change direction of passing to add challenge.
