1. Short passing
- ball stays in in the area
- players move to a new area after passing
Notes:
- scan and move immediately after passing (look for area with fewest players)
- move into a area where you can receive with time and space
- don't run through next potential pass
- high quality passing, moving and communication
2: Medium passing
- You can only pass to someone in a different area to yourself
- Move to a different area to where you passed the ball
Notes:
- Look for the next pass you might receive as you are moving (facing play)
- Visual and verbal clues - are they calling or looking at you to receive
3: Possession
- Split group into 3 equal teams
- Two teams keep possession and can move freely around the area
- You must make at least 1-pass in your area before passing to a new area
- Transfer the ball 7 times to win!
- The other team are defenders and start in the middle zone. One player can go to defend, the others must stay in the middle zone. When the ball transfers area, a new defender goes in to defend and the old defender returns to the middle
- The aim is to win possession or force ball out of play
- If your team lose possession (kick ball out or get tackled) you become the defenders. All defenders have to be in the middle zone before you start defending
Progression:
- add goals around the outside. If the defending team win possession and score in the goal, the attacking teams owe 5-push ups!

3v3 + 3
Attacking team
- complete at least 5 passes in your area before attempting to score
- use outside players to create a 6 v 3

- prevent opposition from scoring
- win possession
- quickly transfer to opposite side and become attackers
Outside players
- Occupy the outside - not allowed inside
- Outside players can pass to outside players on the same team
- Keep the ball moving
- Transfer with inside team mates when ready/tired!
First team to 3 wins!
Notes:
- Quick passing, dribbling and moving when possession is won
- Get ball across quickly with support on/around the ball
- Use bounce passes and combination play to relieve pressure
