COACHING DETAIL
Building out team
- Firm passing, playing to and receiving on the outside foot
- When the ball is played centrally to the N player wingbacks need to assess quickly where the forward wide space is to attack (overlap / underlap)
- Wingers look to drop centrally to receive and drag defenders away to help create a wide attacking channel for the wing back
- CB's offer support underneath to recycle play
- Upon winning possession can we counter quickly by playing to space and attacking the wide areas to create
- Can we utilise the Black N player to create third man runs
- Wing backs to be aggressive in attacking the high wide space

GAME - USING THE SPACE
GAME
- 6v6 +GK's
- Full width, shortened length (40m)
- Focus on using the extra wide space to create attacks or through the middle if opposition not compact in defence
COACHING DETAIL
- This game is all about utilising the extra space created by playing full width with reduced numbers to create scoring opportunities and work on finishing
- Look to get the ball to do the work by playing defence splitting passes
- See the space, make the run, make the pass
- Finishing technique crucial - shot selection, using pass on the ball from crosses and guide into goal
- Get numbers forward in attack
Finish with shooting with a continued focus on technique
