Unopposed Passing & Receiving
Players work in groups of three. P1 passes to middle player (P2) who controls ball, turns & passes to P3. P3 returns pass to P2 who turns and passes to P1. After 2 mins rotate positions. P2 should open body, receive ball on back foot, turn & pass with other foot.
Progression:
P1 & P3 side step cone to cone whilst waiting for ball.
Key Coaching Points:
1 - Correct weight of pass & accuracy, using inside of foot.
2 - Two touch passing (control/ pass)
3 - P2 adjusts body to receive ball with back foot & turn
4 - Communication (vocal & eye contact)

Organization:
24x12 yd areas
4 players set up as shown
Instructions:
- same set up as previous activity with the addition of a passive defender
- defender will stay in the middle until the ball is played to the receiving player, then will apply passive pressure
- receiving player takes first touch to create passing lane to play to the target on the opposite line
- passing player becomes the defender, defender becomes the receiving player, receiving player becomes the target, target brings ball back to beginning and restarts the activity
Coaching Points:
- create space to receive with movement away from the ball before checking back into space
- sideways body position ready to receive
- check shoulder to observe position of the defender
- take touch down the line if the line is open, attempts to break the line of the defender with the 1st touch
- take touch inside to create the passing lane if the defender blocks the line
Progressions:
1 - defender must still remain in a central position until the ball is played, but is now allowed to try to win the ball

Organization:
Three teams of four players, each set up in their own zone.

Instructions:
Coaching Points:
White team at one end must make 3 consecutive passes before looking to switch the ball to the other team in the opposite end zone. Meanwhile the blue team may send 1 player in to win the ball. If successfully won by blue, they switch zones with the team they won the ball from
Coaching Points:
- Quality of short passing, first touch, communication and movement to posses the ball
- Quality of pass to get the ball through the middle grid
- Timing of long pass - Don't force it.
Progressions/Regressions:
-Increase/decrease size of areas
R-less defenders in center area

Organization:
30X20 yards area
2 shaded pitch areas
2 support players in each shaded pitch area as set up.
Instructions:
1. Passes successively to A and B (blues) after playing with the players who are in the middle
2. 2-3 touches in the middle (10 mins) and 10 mins where players could dribble if there is no option before to pass.
3. If a team reach successively (C and D or A and B) after 1 or 2 transition passes in the middle, they could win 3 points.
4. 2 numbers ( from 1 to 6) become supports in the shaded pitch area every 2 minutes.
Coaching Points:
1. Positive first touch out of the feet.
2. Head up and look at the target.
3. Angle of approach.
4. Taking information about different situations.
5. Understanding what's happening by reading the game and play quickly .
Progressions:
1. Limiting touches to the supports (A, B, C and D): 1 or touchs in order to play quick.
2. Making 3-4 passes before reaching the supports in the shaded pitch areas.

Organization:
3v3 Small-sided tournament games: 4 teams of 3 players eachteam. 2 fields of 20x30 yards with 2 Pugg Goals on opposite endlines. Play small sided to larger goals if possible since the kids got striking repitiions during the session.
Instructions:
4 Teams of 3, play 3v3 tournament style format where each team will play one another. 3 points for a win, 1 point for a tie and 0 for a loss. Each game should be approximately 6-8 minutes in duration (obviously play a 3 game tournament).
Coaching Points:
· Review of session's learning outcomes being translatedinto the game
· 3 lines of attack
· Creating triangle (gives angles of support)
· Making triangle as big as possible (Creating space)

Organization:

Instructions:
3 Players start off as defenders holding the a pinnie each in there hand.
Defenders must look to simply touch a ball or force a ball out of
play via a bad pass/touch from an attacker, if they do this the
attacker who lost possession takes the pinnie and becomes a defender and the previous defender becomes an attacker.
Attackers must help each other to keep possession of both soccer balls.
Coaching Points:
Communication
Awareness of space / pressure etc.
Back foot and turn to switch ball in other direction when receive it if possible
Quality / weight of passes.
Angles / distances of support
Progressions/Regressions:
Add/remove balls/defenders (pinnies)
