Pre-Seaon Power and Agility (24mins) 8 mins per station - 1min 30secs work per person
1 - Push-Up's
2 - Squats
3 - Bound hurdles to win header
4 - Fast feet ladder, to change direction to play 1-touch full volley
5 - Planks
6 - Side-Planks
7 - Fast feet shuffle to play one touch, half volley - Left foot
8 - As above to play one touch half, volley - Right foot

Small sided game - 4v4 + 4 Neutrals + GK's - Progression from Wednesday night (20 mins)
Organization
Area - 40x30. Two teams compete for possession with the use of 4 neutrals on the outside to create overload. Teams can socre in either goal.
Progression
- Limit outside touches to 2 and limit inside touches to 2 when receiving from the outside.
- 5 passes on inside before playing to a neutal - then can score.
- Make Directional, when a neutal receives they can dribble in/join the inside to create overload.
Coaching points
- Quality of passing and receiving should be emphasised.
- Decision making - pick out the correct pass to keep the ball safe.
- Movement off the ball on inside. Check for where space to receive is and think about next pass. Can we switch play quickly?
- Tempo - Sharp passing and movement to create options on and off the ball.
- Communication is key for pre-seaon - Point, shout, want the ball.

Small sided game 8v8 (20 mins)
Organization
- Let them play full astro sized pitch.
- Little coaching but encourage movement off the ball to find spaces.
- Emphasise excellent passing and receiving.
- Look for hard work when teams are tired.
- After - Cool down and stretch.

Series of dynamic stretches to warm squad up.
Transition Warm-Up Organization (15mins)
Large Square - Size to fit group - Split into 4 with smaller square in middle.
Play 4v1 inside one square and after completeing specific number of passes, transition ball to blue team.
Blue team must make 4v1 against 1 yellow from centre, while reds ensure all squares are filled.
Progressions
Change teams to allow resting.
Challenge players to play 1 or 2 touch.
Add in 2 defenders.
Coaching points
- Excellent passing and receiving.
- Movement off the ball to creat space and options for person on the ball.
- Fast transitions by other team when a ball is played into them, to create overload and keep possession.
- When second defender added, emphasise quality under pressure and quicker transition.
- Stay switched on at this early stage.
