Football/Soccer Session Plan Drill (Colour): Warm up

Warm up (15 mins)

Set up

Split into 4 x teams and spend 2 x minutes on each station
Players must have the ball in hands

Drill

Station 1 (red) - hop from marker to marker, round the mannequin and then back to the start
Station 2 (blue) - fast feet through the ladder, round the mannequin and then back to the start
Station 3 (green) - bunny hops, pass the ball under the hurdle, round the mannequin and then back to the start
Station 4 (orange) - side steps through the cones, round the mannequin and then back to the start

Conditions

You must pass the ball to the next player, remember the ball is to remain in hand for the entire drill

Technical 1 (15 mins)

Set up

Split into 4 x teams and spend 2 x minutes on each station

Drill

Station 1 (red) - hop from marker to marker, first touch out of feet and away from the mannequin, then shoot at goal
Station 2 (blue) - fast feet through the ladder, first touch out of feet and away from the mannequin, then shoot at goal
Station 3 (green) - bunny hops, pass the ball under the hurdle, first touch out of feet and away from the mannequin, then shoot at goal
Station 4 (orange) - dribble through the cones, first touch out of feet and away from the mannequin, then shoot at goal

Technical 2 (15 mins)

Set up

4 pitches
Cone placed in the middle of the pitch
Equal teams, players line up to the right of the goal

Drill

Players dribble the ball out and around the cone, on return to the goal, they shoot and score
Once the player has taken their shot, the next player will go
Continue this 2/3 times
Once they've done this 2/3 times, they change their starting position to the left hand side of the goal and repeat

Skill (15 mins)

Set Up

2 teams per goal
2 cones and 1 ball per pitch

Drill

On the coaches call, the first 2 players on each pitch race out and around their cone
Once around their cone, they are encouraged to shoot first time
