Description :
> 10v10.
> 4-3-3 formation for both teams. 4 defenders, 3 midfielders, 3 attackers.
> the defenders must look to build out from their zone against the 3 opposition attackers & work the ball into their 3 midfielders.
> the midfield 3 must try & work together to get the ball forward to the attackers. If they cannot find one another in middle or get ball into attackers - they can start again with the defenders.
> once the attackers receive the ball - they can look to score into any goal in their zone.
Progression :
> defenders & midfielders can now support their team going forward by driving into the zone ahead of them to create that overload.
Coaching Points :
> movement off the ball to find gaps & create angles.
> communication for when you want the ball but also what you want teammate to do when they receive ball. ( give & go - man on - turn - time )
> weight of pass into target player, the easier the pass the more chance to connect all players.
> bravery - all players be brave to get the ball ( target player especially )
> trust - if your teammate is adamant for the ball then give it to them
