Basic passing (10 mins)

Organization:

  • On the grid

Instructions:

  • players work in pairs 
  • pass and move inn either grid use 1 or 2 touch passing 

Coaching Points/Questions:

  • look up before you pass
  • supporting foot aims at target
  • kicking foot goes through
  • body slightly forward 
  • practice different weight of pass on different distances inside the grid

Regressions/Progressions:

  • Add communication command 1 touch, man on
  • 2 touches time

Proactive passing (5 mins)

Organization:

  • 3 players using one box in the grid
  • standing on the gates

Instructions:

  • look before you pass, look before you run
  • after your pass run to the empty gate
  • keep an eye on the ball
  • send to proper foot, received  with the proper foot (back foot)
  • pass the ball to the waiting player, not to the arriving player

  • be proactive you know what to do
  • cultivate good habits, check your shoulder

Speed of play desiccion making (15 mins)

Organization:

  • Using a bigger box on the grid
  • 4 players 
  • 2 balls
  • how many passes complete in 1 minute

Instructions:

  • 3 players on the gates,  1 player inside the box
  • all passes goes through the player in the middle 
  • player in the middle receives the ball and play to the player without a ball
  • with out knocking the tall cone in the middle of the box

Coaching Points/Questions:

  • look up before you pass 
  • recognize who is available 
  • first touch on space to open clear path for passing

Zone game (15 mins)

Organization:

  • 3 teams on 3 different zones
  • the teams on the A and C zone play keep away from a pressing player from the B zone
  • complete 3 passes minimum the switch the ball to the other side with out been intercepted 

  • instructions:
  • first pass free
  • look up for team mates movement off the ball
  • play from the spot
  • keep track of your passing 
  • every 3 passes cross the ball across zones A and C, if successful, one point
  • if ball is intercepted, team in zone B takes place of team who got intercepted and sends the ball to the other team and restart the game
