Theme: Agility and Working hard to improve:
Organization: Cones are spread around the field, Players jog around the field and when the coach call the name "Marta" the palyers run and touch as many cones as possible. After 30-45 seconds everyone should stop and the coach can ask how many cones players jumped over. Then players have to go again and try to beat that number.
Variations: Instead of jumping, players jump sideways, with one foot, squat-jump, or they have touch as many cones as possible with their hands, knees, head, elbow etc.
Length of the game: 15-30 minutes:
Learning: The more agile a player is, the better they are at dribbling or defending and quick on their feet, like Marta. Players run doing different movements that are similar to the movements a player has to do during a football game. This is important to develop all muscles and prevent deficiencies, which lead to higher risks of injury. Players work hard and are encouraged to try to beat the number of cones they jumped over but not to be the best. They learn that they need to work hard to improve.
