Setup:
20x20 grids
2 teams of 8
Activity:
3 defenders go over to the other grid to play 5v2.
Play 2 minute games.
Score by connecting 5 passes AND successfully switching to new zone.
Keep running score.
If defense wins ball, give back and start back at 0.
Coaching Points:
+ Receive opposite foot
+ 1 touch if you can, 2 touch usually, 3 touch if you must

Setup:
Field setup as shown with wide zones.

Teams in 2-3-3 formation
Each team has a ball.
Activity:
Teams combine to switch the ball from side to side. No defense.
2/3 touch
Once ball goes wide, play up line or down line to other wide player before going other direction.
Coaching Points:
+ Width from 2/3 OR 7/11
+ Wide players looking at other player and doing the opposite. If 2 is wide, 7 can tuck in. If 7 is wide, 2 can tuck in.
+ 6/10 spacing - 15 yard passes. One low, the other higher up field.
+ NO SQUARE PASSES
+ #7, #11 start wide but can check into holes once width is provided by. Need to get wide once outside back receives ball.
+ #6 providing deep diagonal (or #8/#10 dropping in)

Activity:
Score by getting ball from wide zone to wide zone and back to first wide zone.
Coaching Points:
+ Maximum width and depth in possession
+ CM rotation
+ Defensive compactness
Progressions:
+ After score, keep possession and score on other side.
+ After score, other team gets ball.
+ Make game directional --> Score by getting ball to opposite target (i.e. the #9).

Attacking team in 2-2-3 (no CB)
Defending team in 1-3-2-1
Activity:
Attacking team tries to score in big goal. Offside applies to attacking team.
Defensive team score by getting ball into scoring zone (dribble or pass to teammate). No offside for defending team.
10-ball game --> Each team gets 6 possessions to try to score. Once ball goes out of play (goal or out of bounds), the other team uses one of their balls. Switch directions after half balls used.
Coaching Points:
+ Wide Players reading each other so only one player is wide at a time.
+ NO SQUARE PASSES - create angles off the ball
+ Defense: Guard the middle of the field first
