Warm Up (5 mins)

Traffic Light Game

Participants have a ball each and dribble the ball around the grid. The coach will hold up a red, yellow or green cone.

Red = Stop

Yellow = Jog

Green = Sprint

This will encourage close ball control, as well as keeping your head up to see where you're going.

The coach can also give other instructions verbally, such as change ball, weak foot only.

Activity 1 (10 mins)

Dribble Through the Gate

Each participant has a ball. They have 2 minutes to dribble through as many gates and possible and count their score.

Blue Gate = 1 point

Red Gate = 3 points

The red gates are smaller as harder to dribble through, so more points are awarded for dribbling through them.

Activity 2 (10 mins)

Sharks and Fishes

Participants with a ball stand at one end of the grid. They will be the "fishes".

Two participants without a ball will stand in the middle of the grid and will be "sharks".

The fishes have to dribble the ball to the other side of the grid without one of the sharks either tackling them or knocking their ball out of the grid.

If a fish loses their ball, they will put their ball to the side and become a shark.

The last fish left is the winner.

This activity can be changed by making the grid bigger/smaller or starting with more/less sharks.
