SSG
Organisation/Conditions
9v9 on 2/3 pitch and brought in two yards (focus on more central areas like MDG).
Blue team plays 1-2-4-2
Red team plays 1-4-3-1
Targets and Challenges
Blue team-to score a goal as normal
Can goal come directly from combination play of midfield 4 and strikers?
Red team - to defend and attack as quickly as possible. If possesion is won then 8 passes are given to get forward and score a goal.
Key Points
(Same coaching points as MDG)
Can MF 4 rotate and keep possesion and look to play into strikers?
Can numbers 9 and 10 move and create angles for MF players to make the pass easier?
Can the Wingers play more central to create overloads as reds have a 3v2 centrally?
Can a defender join the attack to create even more options/space?
Can the Blue strikers pull their defenders out of position (wide or not as deep) for midfielders to exploit?
Do the Blue strikers offer depth?
Does one drop into #10 role?
Can the Blues play a quick switch to open up gaps in the Red midfield?
Progression - Reds change to 1341 to match up in the middle. How do Blues react? Does one of the strikers now become a #10 and drop into midfield?

Organisation/Conditions
Pitch geography - central area of pitch roughly 50x44 yards
4 vs 4 in middle
2 neutral players on ends act as 2CB or 2S changing roles depending on direction of play.
There are also neutral wide players (possibly a full back joining in the attack).Only one can join in at a time and is limited to two touch.
Ball starts with RCB playing into Blue midfielder
Targets and Challenges
4 midfield players of either team must get ball to their end zone/Strikers. Can use their CBs to bounce ball off but point is only scored when it gets to Strikers. When it does the direction of play changes and they must score by getting ball to their new strikers (previous CB).
As I'll be coaching the blues the red team have limited time to score and cannot use wide players.
As session progresses then Reds have same rules as Blues to make it more game realistic.
Also if ball gets passes backwards to CBs more than twice in an attack then possession changes over to other team.
Depending on success of blues, defending team can go into shaded areas and man mark one of the strikers, forcing him to move more to make angles.
Key Points
Can MF 4 keep possesion and try to look to pass into strikers in shaded area?
If pass is not on, can possesion be kept?
Can the wide neutral player move into the area to help create an angle, space and overload?
If opposition is not close enough can a lofted pass be played into the strikers?
Can Blues beat a man/play 1-2?
