Organization:
10x10 yards
6 to 7 players
Cones
Balls
Activity:
The activity begins when the attacker dribbles the ball into play. The opposing player defends and prevents the attacker from scoring in any of the gates. The attacking player scores by dribbling the ball through any of the cones on the left or right side and gets more points as she scores farther up the field. The attacking player gets the highest number of points if she dribbles through the last cones (red). If the defender wins the ball, the defender can gain a point by dribbling pass the first pair of cones (teal). Switch the attackers to the defensive positions after 5 attempts.
Coaching Points:
Use of body to shield the ball from the defender
Dribbling speed to attack the defender and exploit space quickly
Use of fakes and feints to unbalance the defender

Activity:
In a game of 3v3 or 4v4, the team in possession dribbles through gates to score points. Points can be scored in any direction, as long as the same gate is not scored on consecutively.
After about 2 minutes of play, transition to scoring in one colour only, with the coach assigning a colour or the team selects a colour by dribbling through the first gate.
After a few minutes, the coach holds up a cone to indicate which colour the team in possession has to score on. The coach will continuously change colours to encourage players to communicate with one another and to scan the field while dribbling.
The blue gate in the centre of the field can be used as a neutral colour at first, and then later in the game, the blue gate can be a higher number of points because of the difficulty to dribble through.
Coaching Points:
First touch decision and first touch control
Keep the ball close when dribbling
Change of direction to evade opposing defender
Purposeful dribbling
