Training for U8 players focusing on ball mastery and agility/coordination. Three stations 10 minutes each. Do 2 stations, give a water break, 1 stations water break, then scrimmage. If a player wants water, let them get it. Don't stop for water too often unless there is excessive heat. Stop the last station with 20 minutes left regardless of the time into 3rd station. Always end each session with a cheer. Do this training for both of your practice days in the same week. i.e do this same training Monday and Wednesday.

Cones in 15x20 grids. 1 ball per game. Bibs.
COACHING POINTS / KEY CONCEPTS
Players play 2v2 games. Readjust games and/or rearrange players when needed. All restarts begin with a dribble.
Encourage players to not take the ball from a teammate. Defenders should not run into their goal when they lose the ball.

Cones 2 yards apart with cones 8 yards across, 1 ball perplayer, Maximum players per line.
COACHING POINTS / KEY CONCEPTS
Dribble to gates: Players dribble with outside of toe toward the cone. They will do the move through the gate and switch feet. Do each skill for several minutes. Allow them to freestyle (choose any move or do a different move at each cone). Progression: fake-take, inside foot chop, sole hook, V, scissors, 1-2. Coaching points: set-up touches away, do your movebefore the cone.

Cones to mark attacking player, defender, and coach, small goals 5-6 yards apart facing each other. 1 ball per two players
COACHING POINTS / KEY CONCEPTS
Coach players ball to attacher (purple cone) who can score on either goal. Defender (green cone) brings the ball back to the coach. They do not score on the goals. Coaching points, switch directions using cut moves, attack the open goal.

COACHING POINTS / KEY CONCEPTS
4v4: Players play in a diamond shape (defender,left and right midfielder, forward). Coaching points: if players bunch up, yellshape!, have players get back into their position. Let the playerthat had the ball keep it and restart play. Encourage players to keep the ball.Do not tell them to pass. Always coach from the middle of the field and try tolet them play the last 5 minutes without any instruction.

COACHING POINTS / KEY CONCEPTS
Players dribble to the cones, take a "set up touch" then strike the ball with their laces. Focus on proper shooting technique. Touch away, shoot with laces, arm out for balance. Player retrieves their ball and go to the cone next to the goal.
Orange=Right Foot, Yellow=left foot. Switch directions after 3 minutes
