Making good decisions on the ball with live pressure to keep possession. Once we have found possession can we look to change the point of the attack by switching the field?

Play the exact same game, but now when your team gets 6 passes in their half they try to score in the goal 4v2. If it goes off a defender after 6 passes, then they must complete 6 more consecutive passes.
You score in the goal in your teams zone and remains 4v2 once you have completed the 6 passes.
If Small Goals are unavailable you can always put a ball on top of a cone and make them hit the ball off the cone.
Rotate servers each round.
Coaching Points:
- Are we forcing the ball to the goal once 6 passes have completed?
- Creating angles to position ourselves to receive passes (diamonds/triangles).
- Proper receiving technique/Encouraging good 1st touch

Hexagonal Target Game. Make a Octagon if you have 14-16 players.
Yellow plays to 3 yellow targets. Red plays to 3 red targets. If you get the ball to all 3 targets you get 1 point. Targets can move anywhere from cone to cone on their side of the hexagon (as shown in bottom left of Diagram for Red Team).
Ball can NOT go from target to target or team loses possession.
Progression: When target receives a pass from player on the inside they carry in and player that passed them the ball becomes the target. At this point, target can play from target to target being that they are an inside player.
Coaching Points:
-Receiving on the half turn to change the point of attack
- Looking for open teammates in space
- Who provides (width, depth)? How can inside players find pockets to break lines?

See the guidance at the top of this page to understand why you are not seeing interactive Football/Soccer images.
Ball must go in to the wide channel (1 or 3 in diagram) before going to goal. Any player can move in to any of the 3 channels.
Progression: Take zone restrictions and let them play without restrictions.
Coaching Points:
- Once we have gone to the wide channel; are we forcing the ball or can we find the big switch?
- Are we providing width to find the big switch.
- When the goalies have it where can we move to provide options/width.

4v4 (4v2 Rondos)
Play 4v2 depending on the side the ball is on. Only 2 defender are allowed in the opponents half. If your team makes 6 passes you get a point. If the 2 defenders have one possession of the ball they look to play the targets (Yellow in Diagram) on the other side and keep possession on their side of the field.
Keep 2 players out to sever balls for their team every time it goes out of bounds. Make them put their 'hand down on the ball and play' to get them in the habit of restarting the game quickly on fouls, offside, etc.
Rotate servers.
Coaching Points:
- Are we utilizing the space provided?
- How can we move as a group, so our team can keep possession of the ball.
- On restarts, encourage them to put their 'hand on ball, head up to find an open teammate and an accurate pass'.
