Organization
-Mark out a 14 x 14 or 12 x 12 yard field
-players play in the channel made by the cones
- 3 to 4 players per channel
- Firstly, player A starts by taking the ball to either side then Players B & C move accordingly like in the warm up phase to create the triangle.
- There are many passing variations in this activity depends on the technical ability of the players and the difficulty set by the coach.
1) player A makes a long pass on the ground straight to player C
2) Player A makes a short pass to player B and here Player B has to recognize if the pass comes to the front foot that mean player A wants the ball back in this case player A receives the ball and plays a long pass to player C. IF the first short pass comes to the back foot of player B then he plays the ball to player C right away.
- Coach can make activity difficult by limiting touches or making the long pass lofted (aerial)
- In any of the above cases in 1 & 2 , once the ball gets to players C the game is on and players B & C play 2 v 1 against player A.
- Players B&C objective is for either one of them to dribble the ball passed the end line if successful they get a point each, if defender (Player A) wins the ball and dribble passed the other end line gets 2 points. If the ball is lost out of bounce no one get a point.
- Players rotate the same way as in the warm-up, Player A get to the middle, Player B steps to the end and player C takes a quick rest and the new players starts the activity.
- After the players learn the coaching points and get used to the activity (5-10 minutes in) then start Competition with promotion and relegation between grids and players to make practice fun.
