Organization:
- Team circles up, players at arms length from each other
- Two defenders in middle
- Player who makes mistake goes in, player who wins or in longest goes out
- Keep circle tight
*Can add extra work or rounds in for defenders if split, or # of passes against them
See the guidance at the top of this page to understand why you are not seeing interactive Football/Soccer images.
Organization:
- 2 groups o 4-8 players
- Size of boxes depend on # of players and level
- Balls can be started by coach or players
- Ball starts in one box while a defender from the other box runs to defend, when ball is won or touched by defender or if ball is played out of bounds, the player who made the mistake runs to the other box to defend while the next ball is started there
- If # of passes set by coach is reached ball starts in the other box and the same defender runs to the other box to defend again, if this is done 2x in a row, defender has a penalty lap around entire area and a new defender is selected
Adjustments:
- Give players a partner, so that if they make mistake both players must go defend, also making it more difficult for group with the ball
- Can restrict or require number of touches
- Can require team not being defended to continue moving ball on ground or by juggling while keeping an eye on the other square
See the guidance at the top of this page to understand why you are not seeing interactive Football/Soccer images.
Organization:
- Small sided games, played to small goals
- Ball must touch the ground before it crosses goal line to score
- Add neutrals if necessary
- Guided Discovery questions
