Small Scale 3 v 2: 3 Att try to penetrate the 2 Def by passing or dribbiling pass the end line.

4 v 4 v 4: Att's try to penetrate the Def by passing the ball to the other attacking team.

Defenders MUST: 1) Keep Play in front of them and COMMUNICATE. 2) Shift and Recover quickly to deny getting split. 3) Recover at Good Angles to keep play in front of them. 4) Be Patient. 5) Remember that they can play square or back but NEVER through! 6) Be patient 7) DO NOT LET THEM SCORE

MF/Back 4: Denying Penetrating Passes: 8 v 8. The Att's are trying to play their Fwd's before they can go to goal. Def's are shifting and recovering to deny the Penetrating Pass. Once the Def's win possession, they look to play their target players.
