Final Game - Playing through the thirds
Setup teams in 7v7 formation, split into defending, middle and attacking thirds.
Players are limited to their third of the pitch.
Aim is for the attacking team to get the ball into the final third and score.
Teams can create an overload by adding one player into the next third by passing or dribbling across.
Coach can rotate positions every 5 minutes to give players opportunities in different thirds.
Progression:
If their is evidence of shape, space, support and intelligent passing decisions coach can take away the limitations and play a normal game.

Warm Up (5 mins)
Objectives:
- to provide ball manipulation and movement repetitions in preparation for session
Warm up - Organisation:
The diagram demonstrates 2 ways to set up - ideally players are in pairs to ensure extra time on task. If the group is large it can be done in 4`s or 3`s with players swapping in and out.
- ensure outside cones are a different colour to the 2 on the inside
- players perform co-ordination exercise from red to blue and then dribble with the ball from blue to blue, stop the ball and then continue the co-ordination exercise
Ensure players get plenty of repetitions of each exercise and ball manipulation task.
Then without breaking, transition into next technical exercise:
