Session Objective: Breakout game:to improve quick play in final third
Organisation:
7 v 7 with floater (red player in central area C). Blue Players in central area keep ball until three passes have been made and then play into area A.Can also use Red floater who plays for team in possession.Two blue forward players limited to one touch and must either score immediately or combine to score quickly.Yellow player then plays into three yellow players in centre and they work three touches before playing into areaB and so on. Rotate players after a while.
Developments;
Increase number of required passes in B.
Limit number of touches per player in B.
Add additional defender so 2v2 in A or B but allow player playing pass into area to join in to overload
Limit breakout to side of B,soplayer in central area must move in advance to receive wide and play first touch cross (e.g. T)
Allow one defending player in central area to make recovery run when ball played out(e.g.W)

Keep possession and be patient then speed of interplay
Quality of movement to receive and play first touch
Quality of finish

Organisation: Area set up as shown - server plays into attacking midfielder who attacks Defending 4 - Recovering midfielder starts recovery run when attacker receives pass.
Key Factors: Tempo of recovery run - angle of recovery run (ball/shape?) - distances of Retreating defenders - delay attack - force play wide - make play predictable - create overloads - positive transition.
