Organization:
- 6 Goal Game: 6v6.
- The playing area is divided into (3) Vertical ZONES as reference point for changing Point of Attack (POA).
Instructions:
- Attacking team can score in any of the (3) goals and are free to occupy all the 3 vertical zones when in possession. Attacking team (in possession) is looking to create a point of attack by DRAWING in opponent to one side of the field and then looking to quickly play to switch the point of attack by playing into the other side.
- Defending team can only occupy 2 vertical zones when the ball is inside one of the outside channel but they are free to occupy all three channels whenever the ball is in the central channel but must stay in a compact shape.
Scoring:
- One point if team scores in SAME channel that they have possession.
- Two points if team plays to adjacent channel and uses MAX of (1) pass before scoring.
- Three points if team plays to an opposite WIDE channel channel and uses MAX of (1) pass before scoring.
Coaching points when attacking:
- Atttacking team should maintain possession by moving the ball quickly.
- Attacking team should maintain possession, draw in opponent and change POA to exploit the weak side. Short-short-long.
- In order to change POA, players must have an open body shape (face forward / side-on to receive and to be able to LOOK forward and PASS forward).
- Passes MUST be sharp to feet to allow the receiver to pass forward quickly...sharp passing to feet allows for Time & Space for receiver.
- SWITCHED ball must be driven, firm, in air or on the ground to expliot defending team being drawn in and exploit weak side.
- Vision: Play with HEAD up and recognize when switch is on.
- Communication: verbal to encourage players to change POA.
Coaching points when defending:
- Proper technique of closing down.
- Always press in the identified situations.
- Speed of approach.
- Pressure the player with the ball, cover and balance.
- Make it compact both vertically and horzontally.
- Prevent the opponent from switching the point of attack or playing forward.
- Stay compact i.e. both vertically and horizontally.
Guided question:
- What do we do if there is no pressure on the ball?
- When opponent switch the point of attack, how do we react and recover back into defensive shape.

Organization:
- Game: 6v5+GK.
Instructions:
- Attacking team (Reds) are looking to create a point of attack and then quickly looking to switch the point of attack before heading for the large goal to score while the defending team (Reds) are looking to win back possession to score in the counter goals.
- The ball starts with the attacking team having possession of the ball.
- Defending team has counter goals to score on but they first need to play into the coach and receive a return pass before scoring in the counter goals.
- Attacking team does PRESS to get ball back if they lose it. Once ball is out of play or a goal is scored, a new ball is played in by the coach with the defending team pushing up their lines.
- Yellow cones represent restraining line for the defending team during restarts.
- The coach also add different variations to the starting positions.
Coaching Points - Attacking Team:
- Create a point of attack by drawing opposition team to one side to unbalance them and them quickly switch the point of attack to the opposite side to penetrate.
- Speed of Play: By playing 1-2 touch and moving ball fast from side to side attacking team can exploit on weak side.
- (#9) with back to goal > Look to play him to draw opponent centrally and #9 plays back quickly.
- Passing: Firm passes to feet / combinations to draw in defenders and quality of switched pass weighted on the run of the player receiving pass.
- WIDE players: Recognizing when to play back to CMF to be able to switch sides and when receiving pass > accelerate into space behind the defending backline to destabilize.
- CMF: receiving passes from wide players > with an open body position to be able to switch sides & receiving the pass with a good first touch break pressure that would allow to switch quickly.
- Decision making of wide players upon receiving the "switched ball" i.e. driving at defender, early cross, driving in to shoot on goal, finding a runner in behind e.t.c.
Coaching Points - Defending Team:
- Previous coaching points when applicable.
- Quick counter attack upon winning possession to score.
Progression:
- Touch limitation if Speed of Play is too slow to Switch POA.
