1v1 Attacking & Defending
Have as many groups as space and coaches allow, to give players as many 1v1 defending & attacking as possible. (minimum 6 players per group to allow rest)
Player from Team 1 (defenders) passes the ball to player 1 in team 2 (attackers) as soon as the pass is placed the 1v1 begins , attacker tries to cross the defenders line if the defender wins it back he attempts to dribble over the attackers line, if ball goes out the 1v1 is over and defender wins.
Defender - (Coaching Points) As soon as pass is played , sprint to attacker (press) to keep the attacker as far away from your line the better. The Defender should then attempt to half the pitch and show the attacker towards one of the sides (safe zone) by turning your body to the side you want them to attack, try and keep the attacker at arms length and watch the ball at all times , be patient, try and force the mistake and if the attacker takes a heavy touch , be fast aggressive to keep possession and attack there line or play the ball out of play.
Attacker - (Coaching Points) As soon as the defender plays the pass , attack the pass and receive it as far up the pitch as possible (closer to the defenders line the better) Keep the ball moving at all times, as soon as the ball stops its advantage defender. If we can keep the defender moving backwards an when he squares his body quickly and aggressively drive past him on one of the sides, using you arm to protect ball. If you lose ball you must recover and press to stop player crossing our line.

Player 1 attacks the first cone and uses the Scissors move before driving towards the second cone & executing the Basic Turn to get away from opponent before attacking the first cone & again using his Basic Turn before lifting his head , seeing the pass and playing a Punched pass to Player 2 then instantly sprinting back to his starting position
1. Basic Turn - Dribble To the opposition player , within a safe distance to keep ball from opponent , player puts his right foot on top of ball, quickly jumps over the ball and turns (change direction) dribbles at speed back to middle cone before executing the same turn (change of direction) and quickly lift your head, (scan) see the pass then quickly pass to player waiting to go. The passing player quickly sprints back to his cone while player two follows the same routine as player 1. (Concentrate on dedicated equal time for both feet)
