What's the time Mr./Mrs. Wolf (10 mins)

Organisation

  • square 15m by 15m

Explanation

  • players line up on starting line
  • players call out what's the time Mr./Mrs. wolf  
  • coach (wolf) calls a time eg 5 o'clock 
  • players must move forward taking touches of time (5 o'clock = equals 5 touches) 
  • continue until coach/wolf says its dinner time
  • players must turn and run with ball back to baseline to escape the coach/wolf 

Progressions

  • bigger/smaller area 
  • more wolves to escape

Zombies

Organisation

  • Players start on base line 
  • One Zombie(coach) in middle 

Explanation

  • Players start on base line 
  • Players to dribble ball across to other side 
  • Zombie(coach) to chase players, if player is caught they become a zombie 
  • Players to keep crossing till one player is left as the winner 

Progressions

  • Bigger area(easier) or small area (harder)
  • Can only use opposite foot 
  • More zombies at the start 
  • Ball can not be out of control or player becomes zombie  

Coaching Points

  • Keep it fun 
  • Look to make sure players keep ball close to them 
  • Look for players keeping head up while running with ball

Cross the river

Organisation

  • cones spread out threw square 

Explanation

  • players start on base line 
  • they have certain amount of time to cross the river without getting eating by crocs (cones) 
  • once they have arrived its time to cross back again 

Progressions

  • Make the time shorter(harder) or longer(easier)
  • Make square smaller (harder) or bigger(easier) 
  • Add more cones (harder) or less (easier)
  • Add moving crocs (players who hit cones become crocs who can catch other players)

Coaching Points

  • Make sure to keep it fun 
  • look for players to use both feet 
  • look for players to keep head up to make decisions on where to run to

Organisation

  • Mini goals on each line 
  • As many balls(zoo animals) as you have available 
  • Players(zoo keepers) start near Zoos(goals)
  • Coaches or players (cheeky monkeys) start in corners 

Explanation

  • The Cheeky monkeys(coaches) have let the Zoo animals(balls) escape the Zoos(goals)
  • Zoo keepers (players) must return the Animals(balls) back to the Zoo(goals) by dribbling one ball at a time to the Zoos(goals)
  • Cheeky monkeys to take animals back to the middle 

Progressions

  • Time limit to get the animals back to the zoo 
  • Cheeky monkeys can tackle the zoo keepers 
  • more zoo keepers
