Essence:
Learning to cope with pressure as a defender and making the right decisions in these moments.
Structure:
1 passes the ball to A. At that moment 1 & 2 are putting full pressure on A. A is trying to pass the ball to B through one of the gates (red or blue).
If A succeeds: A & B play 2vs2 towards the baseline goal against 1 & 2.
If 1 & 2 get the ball, they play 2vs1 against A towards the baseline goal, 2 runs a tackleback to make it 2vs2
In the middle either 2 or 3 is putting pressure on A. The same exercise!
Pointers:
1. 1&2 full pressure on A. 2 close the gate and run towards A.
2. A read the game. Where is B going? How can I open the pass?
3. A move with the ball. If you are standing still the defenders get the advantage. Keep them moving.
Variation:
Distance from 1 & 2 more or less pressure.
