Instructions: - 5v5 possession inside with 5 bumpers
- bumpers have 1 touch
- 3min then switch outside team
- play first to 21 - winner stay
Coaching Points: - fast combination in the middle to move/attract defense
- supporting runs after ball is played out to bumpers
- creating yard of space to pass
Progressions: - possessing team can check outside area to receive (penetrating runs)
- bumper players can check inside to receive (supporting/creating overloads from wide players)
Regressions: - bumpers play off the line and can't be challenged
- bumpers two touch max

Organization: - half field or similar size
- 7v7 or similar
- counter endzone
- penetrating endzone
- attacking #5/6/7/8/9/10/11
- defending #1/2/3/4/5/6/8/10
Instructions: - defending team play to counter endzone - pass = 2, dribble = 1
- attacking team to big goal - looking to penetrate into attacking endzone before going to goal - if can't create a scoring chance in the endzone right away, reset back try again
Coaching Points: - finding overloads to exploit - 9 dropping, 7/11 coming inside
- movement off the ball to create passing lanes - penetrating runs into endzone
- checking into space at a supporting angle -9/7/11
- support player for second ball - 8/10
- timing of runs/combinations - don't rush your run
- improvisation/creativity - create a yard of space to pass/shoot
- quick speed of play to open up gaps in opposition - move the defense
- looking to penetrate behind/through/over/around opponents
- forward movement off the ball looking for spaces in between lines
Progression:- add defensive 9 no attacking 5
Regression: - add 4 zones of possession, need at least three attacking players in that zone when ball is in that zone (middle, attacking and 2 wide zones)

- both play 1-2-3-1 - forward drops to create overload in middle third, wingers wide ready to make penetrating runs into attacking third

Intro - Square Combinations (15 mins)
Organization: - 4 (10x10) areas
- 3-4 players in area, 2 inside, 1 outside on corner
- 2 balls in play
Instructions:- player 1 on the outside passes to either player inside their area
- player 2 sets player 3
- player 3 passes out of the area to the next player 1 in the next area
- pattern repeats in the next area
- after ball is passed into the new area, players rotate positions 1-2-3
Coaching Points/Questions:- fast speed of play - 1 touch
- movement off the ball, vary your movements
- body shape when receiving
Progressions:- add 1-2 between player 2-3
- add set back to player 1 into 1-2 with players 2-3
- add around the corner to next outside player into a set and 1-2 with players 2-3
- add defender and counter goals
Regressions: - one ball only
- player 1-2 only, player 3 rests
