2v2 transition game to goal.
Organization:
In pairs players enter the field 10 yards apart.
The Blue pair enters w/a ball.
The pairs pass the ball back and forth until they hear the trigger from the coach, "go" "now" or on a whistle.
The team w/the ball on the coaches trigger now attacks either goal with a the intent to score. If the defense steals the ball they must attack the opposite goal. Allow the game to finish before the next set.
Progression:
Set trigger on a visual cue (cone in hand, etc)
Coaching Points:
- How quickly can the attacking team get to goal and take advantage of the defenders.
- Can the second attacker get open and towards one of the goals away from the defenders.
- Watch the decision of the first attacker and how they use the 2nd attacker.
- Do they use them immediately or do they doddle on the ball.
- Do they fake the pass and use the second attacker as a decoy and thereby unbalance the 1st defender.
- If the defense denies the initial attack, can they collect themselves, keep possession and try to find a 2v1 in isolation.

3v3 game to goal.
Organization:
3 players from both team go to their assigned locations.
Game starts when coach serves in the ball.
Defense can engage as soon as the coach releases the ball.
Attackers attempt to score on the big goal.
Defenders can score on the counter goals.
Coaching Points:
- How quickly can the attack exploit the defense.
- If not immediately can they remain poised, maintain possession and find a 2v1 to attack.
- Coach should vary service. put the ball into one of the side attackers if you see the defense cheating.
- This is not flying changes. Allow the teams to situate themselves prior to the start/ball in.
- Adjust cones distance accordingly to ensure the attack has the initial advantage.
