One attacker central, one defender.
How to Play
Centre attacker checks to create space, trying to lose the defender, receive, turn and play to opposite player.
Rotate roles periodically.
Challenge players to find different ways to switch play - roll the defender, set back and check again, set back and end man switch with a longer pass, receive and run/dribble, reverse pass.
Coaching Points
Create separation from the defender by checking away sharp and quick. (use arm to create separation)
Check shoulder.
If pressure is loose- Receive on the back foot and open up.
If pressure is tight- Receive on the front foot and spin the defender.
Switch in as few touches as possible.

Two 12x20 rectangles.
Players set up as shown.
All restarts come from coach.
How To Play
Grey team try to keep possession in their half, using the player in the middle.
Try to make 6 consecutive passes then switch play to the other half.
If the defenders win the ball try to play out to the coach.
Change defenders after a set time. (2 minutes)

Teams set up in a 2-3-1 in possession (Principles of a Diamond).
Wide areas marked (if necessary).
How to Play
Play to goal.
For each time the ball is switched from one wide area to the other in an attacking sequence it multiplies the worth of the goal. (ex. 3 switches followed by a goal in the same possession equals 3 points)

Decisions
- Take the easy points? If opponent is giving you the middle and taking away the switch then take the middle 1 point.
-Try to draw the opponent out by playing small passes in one section of the field? Once they are drawn out switch the play.
