Drill 1:
GK - Brian & Cole
Blue - Erik, Tys, Kaden
White - Mo, Deandre, Massi
Drill 2:
Emmett, Cooper, William, Miko, Mikey, Matthew
Total 4 times 3 minutes.
Instructions:
Drill 1: Blue stays on their own side and White stay on their own side. They dont alternate lines.
Blue can score by dribbling through the red gate or by scoring in the small goal. White can score by regaining the ball and score in the big goal. GK needs to be aware and fast to play the ball, so there will be a lot of repetition.
Drill 2: The player that passes the ball go's to the middle. The player that receives in the middle becomes the defender. The defender becomes the player that passes the ball.
The player that receives in the middle can score by dribbling through the blue gate or by scoring in the small goal. The defender can score by regaining the ball and scoring in the smal goal on the opposite side.
After 8 minutes switch starting point of the ball to the opposite side (start from the left instead of the right). The 2 drills dont alternate each other (position specific drills).
Coaching Points:
Drill 1: Force to the gate by an angled run. Approach fast but slow down at the right moment. Proper body shape and feetwork. Ones dribbles in stay with him with the goal to regain the ball. Go to win.
Drill 2: Try to intercept the pass right away, if not possible force to the gate. Dont let him turn to the goal. Ones forcing to the gate stay with him to regain, play to win the ball. Approach fast, read, slow down at the right moment. Proper body shape / feetwork.
