The key to this set piece being a success is the timing and initial set up positioning of the players in and around the opposition box in order to create space to throw the ball backwards to the CB who plays the first pass into one of out CM after they too have made a decoy run/movement to receive the ball and pass the ball to the next player.

3+1 vs 3+1 No touch limit 2 minute games. if a team performs a foul throw then that team automatically loses the game and has to do a fitness forfit.

tight space games with full size goals using the centre circle as the pitch. gk stay outside in their goals, players stay inside the circle.

Play always restarts with a throw in, this is to encourage better movement, 'pin & touch', understanding and attacking intent during throw ins. The pitch shape gives players a new problem to solve regarding space and shooting angles.

2 minutes games. After the 2 minutes the losing team has 5 seconds to get off the pitch or they do a fitness forefit. The team coming on starts with a throw in and can start after 5 seconds and when all their players are on the pitch. these rules are to promote a the nesessity for concerntration and sharp reaction during a transition and defending quick set plays.
